Fred Alger Management has appointed Ankur Crawford to join Patrick Kelly on its Alger Capital Appreciation and Spectra Strategies.
New York-headquartered Fred Alger Management has named Ankur Crawford as portfolio manager on the Alger Capital Appreciation, Alger Capital Appreciation Focus, and Alger Spectra strategies.
She will join portfolio manager Patrick Kelly, who has been appointed head of the Alger Capital Appreciation and Spectra Strategies after looking after these for the past decade. Morningstar ranked the Alger Spectra Fund as the leading large growth fund over the past 10 years, as of the end of March.
Crawford takes on the new role from her position as senior analyst at the firm. She previously served as research associate.
“Ankur has been an integral member of Alger’s investment team for over a decade and I congratulate her on this new role,” said the firm's chief executive and chief investment officer, Dan Chung.
“She has been a top contributor to many of our strategies during her tenure at Alger. I’m confident that her hard work, energy, and enthusiasm for investing will help drive strong results for our clients.”
As of March 31, 2015, Fred Alger Management managed more than $23.6 billion in assets.
