Four Raymond James Teams Join Ascentis Independent Advisors

Under terms of the move, the California and Colorado teams, which have operated as a single Raymond James branch since 2022, will keep Raymond James as custodian.

Ascentis Independent Advisors, part of Dallas-based Ascentis Holdings, has added more than $1 billion in client assets after four advisory practices moved across from Raymond James Financial Services.

The practices are Capital Waypoint, Citrus Wealth Management, IMPACT Financial Strategies and Rooted Wealth Management. They have worked together as a unified Raymond James branch since 2022 and will continue to use Raymond James as their primary custodian.

IMPACT Financial Strategies, based in Fort Collins, Colorado, is the largest, with about $303 million, as of September 15. Founded in 2019, it is led by Justin Davis. The firm's clients include families dealing with sudden wealth from inheritances or business exits.

Capital Waypoint brings about $256 million and has offices in Fresno and Monterey, California. It is led by Jarrod Martinez, managing director and wealth manager, and serves families and business owners.

Rooted Wealth Management, based in Modesto, California, has about $275 million. It is led by founding partners Thad Ortez and Robert Powell.

Citrus Wealth Management, in Redlands, California, joins with about $230 million. Led by president Jeff Marvin, it serves retired utility company workers, healthcare workers and families.

Ascentis provides operations, compliance, technology, marketing and transition support to independent practices. Ascentis Holdings launched in January 2026 through the combination of ORG Partners, Golden State Equity Partners and WealthShield, with more than $2 billion in client assets across its three RIAs at the time.

Golden State, the predecessor to Ascentis Independent Advisors, offered back-office, operational and compliance services to independent advisor teams. John Nahas, Golden State's founder, leads the unit.

In February, the group's wealth management arm added Ascentis Family Wealth, a Dallas practice led by Kevin Gray with about $250 million in assets.
