Fortis Investments CEO To Quit As Merger Looms – Report

The chief executive of Fortis Investments is to leave the Belgian-Dutch group ahead of its merger with the fund management arm of BNP Paribas, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Richard Wohanka joined Fortis Investments as chief executive in 2001 following three years in the same role at WestLB Asset Management.

The purchase by BNP Paribas of Fortis, finally approved by Fortis shareholders in May after months of wrangling over terms, has also created the largest private wealth management business in the euro zone.
