Former Merrill Lynch WM Litigator Launches New York Firm

The new firm will offer a range of wealth management litigation services.

Jonathan Brennan, the former head of wealth management litigation for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, has launched a new boutique litigation firm based in New York.

Brennan, who has worked on wealth management litigation during a 20-year career in private practice and at Merrill Lynch, is the founder of Jonathan Brennan PLLC, which will focus on a range of wealth management litigation and dispute resolution issues, it said in a statement.

The firm's services include: arbitration and alternative dispute resolution; fiduciary and private banking litigation; complex commercial litigation; pre-litigation; non-party litigation; expungement; and regulatory enforcement. As a boutique, the firm will actively partner with clients on budgeting, fixed fees, and alternative fee arrangements.

"I believe it is critical that lawyers go beyond merely providing a menu of options to their clients," said Brennan. "Instead, they should be focused on providing advice that is timely, well-informed, and, above all, useful."
