Marianne Harris - formerly managing director at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch and president of corporate and investment Banking at Merrill Lynch Canada - has joined Sun Life Financial’s board of directors.

- has joined Sun Life Financial’s board of directors.

Harris has worked in the financial industry for 29 years and
prior to joining Merrill Lynch was head of the financial institutions group at
RBC Capital Markets.

She is also currently chair of the board and a member of the finance and audit committee of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.

Sun Life Financial is an international financial services
organization which provides protection and wealth accumulation products
and services to individuals and corporations.

As of September 30, 2013, the Sun Life Financial group of
companies had total assets under management of $590 billion.
