Former MSCI Senior Figure Joins Citi Wealth

The newly-appointed figure spent a total six years at MSCI and before this, worked at Wilmington Trust.

Former MSCI senior figure Alex Kokolis (main picture) is joining Citi Wealth as its new head of investments platform experience, reporting to Keith Glenfield, investment solutions head.

The appointment appeared in a memo seen by this publication and was confirmed by a Citigroup spokesperson.

“Alex will be instrumental in enhancing our investment platform, end-to-end, and will aim to deliver a superior experience reinforcing our commitments to open architecture, advice-led model, and client-first approach,” the memo, signed by Glenfield, said. “He will work closely with all investment product teams and partner with wealth intelligence and client segment leaders to ensure alignment to wealth’s overall strategic priorities.”

At MSCI, Kokolis spent six years as the global head of the wealth management client segment. Before MSCI, he was head of investment product and platform business at Wilmington Trust for three years. Prior to this, Kokolis served as a managing director at UBS in its wealth management advice and platforms product management team for seven years, and spent several years with Merrill Lynch. 

He officially joins Citigroup on September 8 and will be based in New York.
