Washington-based firms Summit Capital Management and Merriman Wealth Management have merged, deepening their presence in the Pacific Northwest.

Summit Capital Management, a Seattle, WA-based RIA, has become part of Merriman Wealth Management, which is part of Focus Financial Partners and also based in Seattle.

The move is Merriman’s first strategic transaction since joining Focus in December 2012; it allows Merriman to expand its geographic presence as it adds Summit Capital’s Spokane office to its existing locations in Seattle and Portland, OR.

Members of Summit Capital’s staff and leadership team will continue to support their existing clients as part of the Merriman team.
