Florida-based wealth manager Lydian Bank and Trust is opening an office in Coral Gables and is also looking for space in Boca Raton and Sarasota.

It tapped Orlando Roche, formerly senior banking officer and managing director for Northern Trust in Miami, to manage the office. It has five employees and will grow to 12, said Victoria Rixon, president and market executive for Palm Beach County.

Lydian also has offices in Palm Beach, North Palm Beach and Tampa. It plans to hire wealth advisors to build its brand in several other cities, said Ms Rixon.

Lydian has about $18 billion in assets under management, and its average client has a liquidity of $5 million and net worth of $10 million.
