Fisher Investments Pushes Into Australia's Private Client Market

The new organisation will be based in Sydney and is already starting to hire for a variety of positions.
US-based Fisher Investments is pushing into Australia’s private client market via a subsidiary.
The subsidiary, Fisher Investments Australasia Pty, has served institutional clients in New Zealand and Australia since 2013 and will now expand its offering to serve individuals and families. Focused on high net worth clients, it will use the brand Fisher Investments Australia® with private clients in Australia, the group said in a statement yesterday.
Australia is the 16th new international private client market Fisher Investments has entered, it said.
"After years of planning, we're excited to begin working with Australian families. Our dedication to putting our clients' interests first has proven successful everywhere we operate, and we look forward to helping Australian investors reach their financial goals with unparalleled service, continuous education and tailored portfolio management,” Carrianne Coffey, Fisher Investments' senior executive vice president responsible for the firm's international private client operations, said.
The subsidiary, which will be based in Sydney, plans to start soliciting potential clients by mid-year. In the meantime, it is hiring candidates for sales, service and operations roles.
