First Republic hires NYC-based relationship manager
Merrill Lynch-owned private bank brings in former Wachovia
private banker. San Francisco-based private bank First Republic
has hired former Wachovia executive Gary Farro as a senior
relationship manager. He is based in New York.
Expanding team

An 11-year veteran of the financial-service industry, Farro was
most recently a "financial specialist leader" with Charlotte,
N.C.-based Wachovia.
In his new role, Farro works with high-net-worth individuals and
families. First Republic's wealth-management-service roster
includes private and business banking, investment management,
real estate lending and trust services.
First Republic is a division of Merrill Lynch. In addition to San
Francisco and New York, it has offices in Los Angeles, Santa
Barbara, Calif., Newport Beach, Calif., San Diego, Las Vegas,
