First Horizon Bank Names CIO For Wealth Arm

Formerly at Comerica, the C-suite figure has worked at US Bank Private Wealth Management and at First Citizens Bank.
New York-listed First Horizon Bank has appointed Eric Teal (main picture) as chief investment officer of its wealth management arm.
Teal, who is joining First Horizon Wealth Management, will also hold the post of senior vice president.
Family Wealth Report has contacted First Horizon to clarify whether Teal is taking on a newly created role and may update in due course.
Before this, Teal worked at Comerica, where he served as CIO and was a member of the wealth management senior leadership team. Prior to that, he was managing director and investment manager with US Bank Private Wealth Management and served more than 10 years as CIO at First Citizens Bank.
Teal holds a bachelor of science in economics and international studies from Rhodes College in Memphis, a master of business administration in finance from the University of Memphis and he completed the International Economics and Trade Study Program at the London School of Economics. He is currently treasurer of the PBS North Carolina Foundation Board and prior chairman of the PBS North Carolina Board of Trustees.
