Firms move to enhance HNW-client management offerings
Tech firms Finaplex and salesforce.com unveil new OnDemand CRM
application. Wealth-management application provider Finaplex and
on-demand business technology provider salesforce.com have
launched Finaplex OnDemand, a software application for
relationship management in the wealth-management space. The
product will be available on salesforce.com's AppExchange
application-sharing platform and it will be integrated with
salesforce.com's Apex application-customization platform.
OnDemand is a web-based application based on an enterprise
software product called Finaplex Wealth. It integrates tax-lot
accounting, GIPS-compliant performance measurement,
client-relationship management, proposal generation and portfolio
management into a single platform. (GIPS, Global Investment
Performance Standards, are rules promulgated by the CFA Institute
for creating performance presentations.)
At a glance
"The AppExchange gives salesforce.com financial services
customers more choice than ever in selecting industry-specific
applications for their unique business needs," says Tien Tzuo,
San Francisco-based salesforce.com's chief strategist. "Finaplex
OnDemand is an excellent wealth management solution already
integrated with Salesforce and the Apex on-demand platform that
financial advisors can quickly and easily deploy."
Finaplex and salesforce.com say that OnDemand gives advisors a
broad view of each of their client's status, which, in theory,
helps them provide better and more customized service.
Salesforce.com customers can switch between applications and
access Finaplex's portfolio planning, investment selection, and
portfolio management features.
Pete Tierney, CEO of San Francisco-based Finaplex, says marrying
"the flexibility of Salesforce [client-relationship management
capabilities] to our existing client-data management capabilities
creates a powerful new solution for financial advisors and
wealth-relationship managers" and creates "a terrific
opportunity" for them "to streamline their practices and grow
their assets under management." -FWR
