Financial Software House Names New Asia-Pacific Head, Widens Role

The appointee fills a vacant APAC top role and retains leadership of the MENA region for the firm.

UK-headquartered financial software firm Finastra has appointed one of its top managers, Wissam Khoury, to lead its Asia-Pacific business, based in Singapore. Khoury has been MD for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and bfore that, was a MD for SunGard in Dubail.

In this new expanded role as senior vice president and general manager for Middle East and Africa and APAC, he is responsible for driving Finastra’s growth strategy.

His new position, overseeing Finastra’s APAC and MEA regions, is designed to boost the combined strengths of both these regions.

Khoury took up his new role on 1 August and splits his time across both regions with bases in Singapore and Dubai.

Separately, Imad Abou Haidar, MD, Asia-Pacific, who will leave his role on 31 September to pursue a new opportunity.

Finastra was formed in 2017 by the combination of Misys and D+H. The firm said 90 of the world’s top 100 banks use Finastra technology.
