Financial Profiles debuts web-access versions

Planning and advice software maker takes to Internet in the name
of convenience. Financial-planning software maker Financial
Profiles has released web-based versions of its Profiles
Forecaster and Profiles Professional applications through Profile
OnDemand. The new Internet-access versions are meant to give
independent advisors the convenience of Internet access to
planning tools including secure data-storage capabilities and
system updates.
“Many advisors struggle to balance ‘anywhere, anytime’ financial
planning with the security of their clients’ personal data,” says
Susan Papanek, Financial Profiles’ v.p. of engineering. “Profiles
OnDemand provides a secure, backed-up platform that automates all
updates, saving advisors precious time and money in the conduct
of their practice.”
Profiles OnDemand also spares users the trouble of purchasing
expensive hardware, hiring additional IT staff “and all the other
things that make hosting Web-based applications complicated and
costly,” according Carlsbad, Calif.-based Financial Profiles.
The new web service goes for $150 when advisors purchase a
one-year license for Profiles Professional or Profiles
Forecaster. Profiles Professional costs $1,000 a year for each
user; Profiles Forecaster costs $590 a year per user, according
to Financial Profiles’ website. Discounts are available to Other
discounts may also be available to qualified advisors.
Financial Profiles is a subsidiary of the Hanover Insurance
Group, a Worcester, Mass.-based property and casualty insurance
holding company formerly known as Allmerica Financial.
