Fifth Third Private Bank has expanded its Florida team with the appointment of Gina Palanzi as private banker, vice president in Fort Myers, according to NaplesNews.

Palanzi, who has 29 years of banking experience, is a trustee for Bonita Springs Fire District General Employees Pension and has affiliations with community projects.

In her new role Palanzi will be responsible for providing traditional banking, lending, financial planning and client advocacy services to high net worth clients in the Fort Myers area.

The South Florida regional unit of Fifth Third Bank is headquartered in Naples and has over 60 banking centers. Fifth Third Bancorp is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio and has around $266 billion assets under care, as at 31 December 2010.
