Fieldpoint Recruits Former Citi Wealth Management, HSBC Exec

Fieldpoint Private Bank & Trust has hired Paul Guidone as its chief investment officer.
Guidone is the former chief investment officer of Citigroup Global Wealth Management where he oversaw investment activities, totaling $1.3 trillion in assets under management, for Citi Private Bank and Smith Barney. He left Citigroup in 2007.
Greenwich, Connecticut-based Fieldpoint was founded in 2008 by 31 Wall Street titans. In addition to three former Merrill Lynch chief executives - David Komansky, William Schreyer and Dan Tully – they include Jerome Kohlberg, co-founder of Kohlberg, Kravis and Roberts, and Joseph Grano, former chief executive of UBS Paine Webber.
Guidone is currently an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University where he teaches investment analysis. He is also CIO of Linden Point Capital Management, a boutique hedge fund in New Jersey.
Prior to Citigroup, Guidone was CIO of J&W Seligman and deputy chairman and group chief executive officer of HSBC Asset Management.
Fieldpoint provides private banking, business banking, wealth management and trust services and family office services. It plans to expand into New York City this year.
