Fieldpoint Private Poaches Citi Private Banker

The Connecticut-based firm, which serves ultra-high net worth families and institutions, has added to its executive team.

Connecticut-based Fieldpoint Private has appointed Richard Land from Citi as its managing director and senior advisor.

Land joins the firm following a 12-year stint with Citigroup, where he worked with families and entrepreneurs at Citi Private Bank in Greenwich and Westport, Connecticut.

Previously, he worked as a business banking officer, collaborating with companies on commercial lending, insurance and cash management.

In his new role, he will be based in Fieldpoint Private’s Greenwich, Connecticut office.

“In a remarkably short period of time, Richard earned his place among the most effective and successful private bankers in one of the most competitive regions in the country," said Robert Matthews, Fieldpoint Private’s president and chief executive officer, adding that Land is a “prized addition for the firm”.

This publication is awaiting confirmation on whether Land will take on a newly-created role or is replacing someone.
