UK-listed asset management group F&C Investments has appointed a product and performance manager to assist the team in creating new business opportunities.

Torquil Wheatley will be responsible for internal and client communication for the firm’s multi-alternative products and will report to Ken Kinsey-Quick, head of multi-manager alternatives.

Wheatley joins the firm from Deutsche Bank in London, where he worked for 11 years as director of finance and foreign exchange global markets structuring and head of currency solutions for pension funds and insurers. He has also worked for the likes of JP Morgan and Citibank in London, Paris and New York.

Another recent hire made by F&C was that of Peter Svoboda, as a product specialist in its emerging market debt team, and fund manager Diliana Deltcheva.

F&C has over £108 billion (about $170 billion) in assets under management.
