"I have enjoyed being associated with Diversified Trust since its inception," says Spitz. "In the past fifteen years, the company has progressed and developed key areas of expertise which I believe will enhance our suite of services to a growing base of clients."
Womack also comes to Diversified Trust from Vanderbilt, where she worked for 23 years. She collaborated with Spitz in managing the university's $3.6-billion endowment with fund specific responsibility for a diversified portfolio of venture-capital and leveraged-buyout investments spanning multiple strategies across the global markets.
Spitz and Womack will add value as Diversified Trust pursues a strategy of expanding in the U.S. Southeast, according to the firm's CEO Larry Bryan. "Their significant experience and dedication to sound investment principles are consistent with Diversified Trust's philosophy and we are thrilled to have both of them on board as part of our team."
Diversified Trust -- which has 16 principals and a total headcount of 45 employees -- has seen in assets under management triple to around $3 billion in five years. In addition to its two locations in Tennessee, it has an office in Atlanta. -FWR
