Ohio financial services company FirstMerit has hired Kenneth Dorsett as executive vice president and head of its wealth management services.

Prior to joining FirstMerit, he served in the private wealth management group at Mellon Bank and as senior vice president and national sales manager for private banking at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh.

Additionally, he was president and chief executive officer of Everest Advisors, a wealth management consulting firm.
