Evercore has welcomed a new financial advisor at its wealth management arm in the Big Apple.

Evercore Wealth Management has brought in Douglas Dewey as a managing director and financial adivsor.

Dewey steps into the New York office, having previously served for four as chief executive at Murphy Healthcare, a privately-held firm. He left the firm to return to wealth management, Evercore said.

Before Murphy Healthcare, he worked at Barclays, where he advised private and institutional clients on financial planning and asset allocation. Earlier still, he spent eight years in a similar role at Bernstein Global Wealth Management.

In his new role at Evercore, Dewey reports to Jay Springer, a partner at Evercore Wealth Management.
