Evercore Wealth Management, the US-based subsidiary of Evercore Partners, has appointed Wendy Barasch as head of business development and partner.

In this New York-based role Barasch, who will join the firm at the end of June, will be working alongside Jeff Maurer, partner and chief executive officer at Evercore Wealth Management, the firm said in a statement.

Barasch joins the firm from Alliance Bernstein, where most recently she worked as a managing director in the private client business and was responsible for hiring and developing teams of financial advisors. She also led advisor training programs and served as a wealth management advisor, working with high net worth families, small endowments and foundations.
