The financial advisory firm hopes the new hire can boost its profile in the US.

Financial advisory firm Evercore has appointed Tannon Krumpelman as a senior managing director.

Krumpelman will be based in New York, where he will lead the firm’s advisory business in the Americas, Evercore said in a statement earlier in the week.

He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He will join the firm from UBS, where he was managing director and head of banks for the Americas.

"The financial services industry is of strategic importance to Evercore and our decision to recruit Tannon underscores this,” said Ralph Schlosstein, president and chief executive. “His extensive experience and long-term approach to client relationships will be critical to Evercore's success as both the banking industry and the broader financial services landscape continue to evolve and integrate."
