Evercore Establishes Trust Division In Delaware

Evercore has expanded its range of trust services with the launch of its latest offering, Evercore Trust Company of Delaware.

Under the control of Evercore Trust Company’s president and chief executive, Chris Zander, the Wilimington-based subsidiary will grow the firm’s fiduciary and investment services available to its high net clients nationwide.

"Delaware's tax and regulatory environment makes the state an attractive trust jurisdiction for many of our clients. The new trust company, which is chartered in Delaware, enhances our national fiduciary capabilities ,” said Jeff Maurer, CEO of Evercore Wealth Management and chairman of Evercore Trust Company in a statement.

While Zander is stationed in New York, Darlene Marschesani will serve as chief trust officer and trust counsel of Evercore Trust Company of Delaware, and will be based in Wilmington. She joined the parent company in May last year, moving from Wilmington Trust.

Evercore Trust Company has $41.8 billion in assets under administration as of December 31, 2015 and provides Evercore Wealth Management’s clients personal trust services.
