Estate-law firm shuts doors to join larger player

Akron's Kaufmann & Kaufmann lawyers joins Buckingham Doolittle &
Burroughs. Akron, Ohio-based law firm Kaufmann & Kaufmann has
joined the Akron office of Buckingham Doolittle & Burroughs.
Buckingham Doolittle says the addition of Kaufmann's three
attorneys enhances its trust and estate capabilities.
The new Buckingham Doolittle attorneys are Philip Kaufmannn, Loma
Swett, and Steven Mutersbaugh. Joining them from Kaufmann &
Kaufmann are two paralegals, a law clerk, and an administrative
assistant.
Beyond trusts and estates
"We are very pleased to welcome these outstanding attorneys to
Buckingham Akron," says Nicholas George, president and CEO of
Buckingham Doolittle. "Their special expertise in disabled and
elderly law will be a valued enhancement to the services provided
by our Trusts & Estates Practice Group."
Kaufmann -- the man, not the firm -- says that joining up with
Buckingham Doolittle lets him and his colleagues provide their
clients a wider range of legal services. "We look forward to
collaborating with the firm's fine attorneys, especially when the
client's legal needs reach beyond trusts and estates into other
areas of the law."
Buckingham Doolittle has been around since 1913. In addition to
its Akron headquarters, the firm has offices in Canton,
Cleveland, and Columbus in Ohio, and in Boca Raton and West Palm
Beach in Florida. -FWR
