Envestnet Names New Technology Chief

A new chief technology officer takes the helm at the US wealth management systems firm.
Envestnet, the New York-listed wealth management systems firm, has appointed Robert Coppola as the new chief technology officer, taking the helm from Scott Grinis, who is retiring next year having held the position for two decades.
Coppola will report to Stuart DePina, Envestnet president.
Most recently, Coppola was chief information officer of Cision. Before that, he was in the same role, as well as being CTO, at S&P Capital IQ and S&P Dow Jones Indices at S&P Global (formerly McGraw Hill Financial).
More than 105,000 advisors across more than 5,100 companies, including large US banks, wealth and brokerage firms, use Envestnet’s platform.
In July this year, Envestnet appointed former senior TD Ameritrade figure Dani Fava as its strategic development head, a new role at the firm. In May, the firm announced that Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, part of Canada’s Canaccord Genuity, was to provide its advisors and internal portfolio managers with access to Envestnet’s unified advice platform.
