Raymond James Investment Advisors division has taken a newly-formed asset management firm under its wing in North Carolina.
Raymond James Investment Advisors division has taken a newly-formed asset management firm under its wing in North Carolina.
Emerald Asset Management was set up by managing partners Robert Leggett, James Tharin and Clint Sorenson and operates from offices in Cary and Rocky Mount, NC.
Also on the team are Grier Rubeling, director of operations, and operations manager Lisa Ingram.
Emerald Asset Management came to be following Sorenson and Tharin’s desire to help clients control costs and manage risks in their own fashion. After Raymond James introduced the pair, both formerly of Wells Fargo, to Leggett, who was in the same situation at UBS, the trio set up their own asset management partnership.
The trio chose to affiliate with Raymond James for its “high level of resources and technology” and where its “private client group is its core business”, Sorenson said in a statement.
Emerald Asset Managemet specializes in building investment strategies for individuals and institutions. Prior to affiliating with Raymond James, the team, combined, managed over $200 million in client assets and had annual revenue in excess of $1.9 million.
