Eastspring Investments Creates New Insurance Relationship Role In Asia

Eastspring Investments bolsters its insurance business in Asia with the creation of a new relationship-focused role.

Eastspring Investments, the asset management arm of Prudential Corporation Asia, has introduced a new senior role to its insurance business. 

Effective June 2014, Andy Yang assumes the position of head of insurance relationship, to oversee all aspects of the firm's relationship with Prudential's insurance divisions across Asia. He will be working closely with the CEOs and leadership teams of the firm's insurance businesses in the region. He reports to Michele Bang, deputy chief executive of Eastspring Investments. 

Prior to this post, Yang was the group head of investments and asset liability management at FWD Group, with responsibility for investment teams across four countries. He also previously worked for ING Investment Management Asia-Pacific, ING Investment Korea, and ING Life Taiwan.

Prudential has insurance operations in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. As at 31 March 2014, the firm manages some $100 billion in assets, primarily sourced from Asia.
