EXCLUSIVE: Geller & Company Makes Senior Family Office, Wealth Advisory Hire

Geller & Company, a financial advisory and wealth management firm, has appointed Christopher Schumacher as a director and client relationship manager in New York, FWR can exclusively report.
Geller & Company, a financial advisory and wealth management firm, has appointed Christopher Schumacher as a director and client relationship manager in New York, Family Wealth Report can exclusively reveal.
Schumacher is latterly of Solaris Alternative Asset Management, where he was a director responsible for business development and providing fixed income analysis and risk management.
In his new role at Geller, he will work with members of the family office leadership team to develop wealth advisory and money management services for clients, drawing on his knowledge of traditional and alternative investment strategies including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and real estate.

Prior to Solaris, Schumacher was a senior investment analyst responsible for asset allocation, performance, and attribution analysis at the investment consulting firm Cambridge Associates. In that role, he worked with university endowments, non-profit organizations, pension plans and high net worth individuals.
Following this, he was director of research at Papamarkou Wellner Asset Management, focused on market and manager research, strategic and tactical asset allocation and portfolio construction for the firm’s HNW clients. Additionally, he served as co-portfolio manager of the firm’s fund-of-hedge-fund portfolio, as well as a registered representative and trader for client accounts.
Geller & Company’s family office and wealth advisory team is comprised of more than 70 professionals serving wealthy individuals, families and their closely held private, public and non-profit businesses. As of April 30, 2014, the business had in over $2.1 billion in assets under management.
