Digital Digest: The Latest Tech News – Vistra, Yardi

The latest technology news in the wealth management sector from around the world.

Vistra
Vistra Fund Solutions has added real estate debt fund administration to its services on the Yardi platform, alongside automated data ingestion from third-party property managers and expanded operational reporting for real estate fund managers.

The firm can now administer real estate credit funds and levered equity strategies in the same Yardi environment as property and entity accounting. Equity and debt administration sit in a single workflow from the loan ledger to the investor statement, with no handoffs between systems or providers, the firm said earlier this week.

Yardi develops software for real estate companies around the world.

Vistra has added three modules to the Yardi Investment Accounting infrastructure that has supported its real estate fund administration for more than a decade. Yardi Debt Manager covers loan administration and covenant tracking. Yardi Import Manager automates data ingestion from external property managers. Yardi Data Connect delivers data to downstream warehouses and applications. Vistra said it is among the first fund administrators to adopt the new capabilities, which are run by a dedicated in-house Yardi team.

“Our clients are expanding into debt strategies and relying more heavily on operational data to inform investment decisions,” Abdel Hmitti, president of Vistra Fund Solutions, said.

Vistra administers more than $1 trillion in assets globally. Its real estate clients include the world’s ten largest real estate fund managers as well as middle market and emerging managers. Alongside fund administration, it provides SPV and entity administration, investor services, depositary, third-party AIFM and ManCo services, and regulatory and tax compliance support.
