Digital Digest: The Latest Tech News – PNC Bank, MSCI

The latest technology news in the wealth management sector in North America.

PNC Bank has partnered with index provider MSCI to provide its financial advisors with access to MSCI Wealth Manager, a digital platform designed to enhance portfolio construction and client engagement.

The platform offers institutional-grade research and portfolio management tools, enabling advisors to deliver more personalized investment experiences for a wide spectrum of clients – from high net worth and emerging affluent individuals to large institutional investors, MSCI said in a statement yesterday.

For PNC, the move comes at a time when competitive differentiation increasingly hinges on an advisor’s ability to provide data-rich, transparent insights.

MSCI Wealth Manager integrates with MSCI’s multi-asset class (MAC) risk model. This technology helps advisors identify portfolio components that are outliers relative to a client’s stated risk appetite. Advisors can assess, compare, and align portfolios against recommended asset allocations, while keeping the flexibility to tailor strategies to individual needs.

“With MSCI Wealth Manager, firms like PNC can equip their advisors with the insights, data, and technology to scale advice delivery and support their clients with greater clarity and confidence,” Alex Kokolis, global head of wealth at MSCI, said.
