The latest technology news in the wealth management sector from around the world.

California-based investment manager Franklin Templeton this week announced that a range of its equity separately managed account (SMA) models will be available on wealthtech solutions provider Orion platforms.

The partnership will give financial advisors broader access to Franklin Templeton’s specialized investment strategies. They will be able to access expertise from Franklin Templeton’s specialist investment managers though the Orion Communities and Orion Portfolio Solutions platforms.

“This launch underscores our commitment to expanding our reach within the advisor community by making our SMA models available on the platforms with which advisors are actively engaging,” Sam Marciano, head of SMA distribution at Franklin Templeton, said.

“This addition aligns with our mission to build a wealth-tech community where every advisor and investor thrives. By integrating Franklin Templeton’s specialist strategies, we are enhancing the flexibility and breadth of investment options available to advisors within our comprehensive wealth solutions, empowering them with complete solutions that can be customized to advisor/investor investment philosophy,” Ron Pruitt, president of Orion Wealth Management, added.
