Deutsche Not Interested In Buying KBL European Private Bankers

Deutsche Bank is not interested in acquiring KBL European Private Bankers, Dow Jones reports, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter.

A report came out yesterday in the French newspaper La Tribune claiming that Deutsche Bank was among a host of banks studying the sale of the private banking unit, currently owned by Netherlands-based KBC Groep. The other banks mentioned were Société Générale, Crédit Agricole, Barclays, HSBC, Credit Suisse, EFG, Julius Baer and Vontobel.

When contacted by WealthBriefing yesterday about the matter, all of the firms were either unavailable or declined to comment.
