Deutsche Bank PWM Strengthens Asian Team With Two Executive Hires

Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management has bolstered its Asian operations with the appointment of two senior executives to the team.

Steven Wong has joined the company as director, while Rowan Tan steps in as vice president of the key client solutions team.

Wong, who will be based in Hong Kong, will assist existing and potential ultra high net worth clients in North Asia, particularly with identifying corporate finance opportunities. Tan, who will be Singapore-based, will be focused on similar opportunities in South East Asia. Both appointees will report to Raymond Chang, the managing director and head of the key clients group for Asia ex-Japan.

Prior to these new roles, Wong was with Credit Suisse Private Banking in Hong Kong, where he was involved with mergers and acquisition and structured lending transactions for private banking clients in North Asia and Greater China. Tan, who used to be with BNP Singapore, was head of corporate advisory and origination support and execution for M&A and ECM.

In a statement, the bank said the appointments will help add value to its offerings and make them more accessible to highly sophisticated private clients. The key client solutions team, which was launched in May 2008, is responsible for driving the process of cross referrals between Deutsche Bank PWM and its corporate and investment banking arm.
