Denver-Based Alpha Capital Family Office Adds $3 Billion Team
The advisors joining the business in Colorado both worked at Citi Private Bank, as well as at other large US financial groups.
Alpha Capital Family Office has brought former Citi Private Bank senior wealth managers collectively holding more than $3 billion of AuM for ultra-high net worth clients.
Alexandra Romeo Boyles and Will Coughlin have joined as senior wealth strategist and partner, and senior investment strategist and partner, respectively. They are based in Denver, Colorado, where Alpha Capital Family Office is headquartered.
At Citi Private Bank, Boyles and Coughlin looked after clients such as single-family offices, entrepreneurs, private business owners, endowments, foundations, and non-profits.
Boyles had been senior vice president and UHNW private banker at Citigroup in Denver. Previously, she was vice president and UHNW private banker at JP Morgan. Boyles earned her Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law and a BA in political economy from Tulane University. She has previously held FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses.
Coughlin had been an SVP of investments at Citigroup in Denver, overseeing some of its institutional client relationships. He started his career as a financial analyst in Goldman Sachs’ alternative investments and manager selection group before moving to its private wealth management division as an advisor. He has previously held FINRA Series 7, 65, 63, 31, and 3 licenses.
"There has been a tremendous amount of change going on in the private banking world,” Jeff Shipley, co-founder partner, and consultant with Lumina Consulting, said. “Given what is going on I am not at all surprised to see two high caliber professionals like Will and Alex now join a team that empowers them with the freedom and flexibility to deliver more comprehensive solutions to clients."
Among changes, Alpha Capital Family Office recently appointed Tom Riley, formerly of Northern Trust, who serves as its head of portfolio management.
