Deals Of The Day: The Latest In Wealth Management M&A - Cerity, Algonquin

The latest wealth management transactions in North America.
US financial advisory firm Cerity Partners has acquired Algonquin Advisors, based in the Northeast. With another recent addition in its reach – Worldview Advisors – total AuM has reached $27 billion.
Algonquin Advisors, founded in 1998, is a Greenwich, Connecticut-based firm led by founder George Hubbard and chief executive John Hyman. The team provides investment management services to ultra-high net worth individuals and families as well as foundations. A total of seven people will join Cerity.
As reported here in November, Cerity Partners acquired San Francisco-based Worldview Wealth Advisors. The firm has about $150 million in client assets under management and five staff. Under the deal, the sole owner of Worldview, Andrew Fisher, became a partner and shareholder in Cerity Partners. Five other colleagues joined Cerity. Worldview Wealth Advisors specializes in cross-border financial planning for both Americans living abroad and foreign citizens living in the US..
