Deals Of The Day: The Latest In Wealth Management M&A – Wellington Wealth Strategies
The latest mergers, acquisitions and other corporate actions in the wealth management sector.
Wellington Wealth Strategies
The Wellington Group and TrustWealth Strategies are merging,
building a business with a combined $750 million in assets under
management.
The expanded entity will be called Wellington Wealth Strategies, the organizations said in a statement earlier this week. The firm is structured as an investment advisor regulated by the Securities & Exchange Commission.
The Wellington Group was founded by Tony Bonanno, president, in 1996. TrustWealth Strategies, an RIA, was founded by Greg Freeman and Joe Hillman.
Under terms of the merger, Bonano will take the title of founder and managing partner at Wellington Wealth Strategies. Freeman and Hillman will serve as founders and partners with long-time members of The Wellington Group, Tom Cates and Max Moritz. Nate Miller is chief operating officer.
The group now has a total of six founders and 20 advisors. The business operates in 40 states of the US.
