The latest mergers, acquisitions and other corporate actions in the wealth management sector.
Robertson Stephens, ALTIUS Financial
Robertson Stephens Wealth Management has added ALTIUS
Financial, a Denver-based financial planning and investment
management practice, giving the firm its fourth office in
Colorado. Robertson Stephens did not disclose ALTIUS’s
assets or the terms of the deal.
Founder Michael Williams is joining as managing director and principal. He is joined by Taylor Dennis, a fellow certified financial planner and co-owner of ALTIUS, and team members Jennifer Kreger and Krescent Williams.
ALTIUS, which works with individuals, families and business owners, has operated for more than 25 years. Its planning is built around a proprietary program, the Empowered Future Program, which focuses on financial education and long-term planning. Clients will gain access to Robertson Stephens’ wider wealth planning and investment platform.
Robertson Stephens is an independent SEC-registered investment advisor. Its $11 billion AuM figure includes acquisitions completed in October, with assets valued as of September 2026.
The deal deepens a Colorado buildout that has relied on acquisitions. In May 2024 the firm added Three Points Financial and opened an office in Colorado Springs, a practice managing about $118 million. In July that year, it bought Ratio Wealth Group, an advisor with more than $530 million in assets, opening a Denver office and taking total AuM to about $6.5 billion. Ratio was the firm’s largest deal at the time.
