Emigrant Partners
Emigrant
Partners announced this week that it has made taken a
strategic stake in Mutual Group, a
national platform serving independent financial advisors and
RIAs.
Mutual’s existing leadership will maintain a majority ownership position and continue to lead the firm’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations.
Founded in 1982, Mutual’s businesses support more than 270 advisor teams and independent RIAs overseeing more than $15 billion in assets. Within its broker-dealer platform, Mutual operates Evolve, a proprietary solution that enables RIAs to transition commission-based business to a fee-only framework without traditional dual registration.
“Mutual Group has a unique position in the independent community, drawing on its 44-year legacy as a broker-dealer and its success over the past decade diversifying to meet the evolving needs of its independent advisor and RIA client base,” Jenny Souza, president and CEO of Emigrant Partners, said. “We’re excited to work with Mutual’s leadership as they continue to expand services across multiple business lines.”
InCap Group served as Mutual’s exclusive investment banker on this transaction, and Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young served as its legal counsel. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
WealthReach, Model FA
WealthReach, a
platform for RIAs and other wealth managers, has acquired the
intellectual property assets of Model FA, a provider of
coaching, marketing and development services for financial
advisors.
Under the terms of the transaction, WealthReach will pair its AI-powered client prospecting tools with Model FA's suite of resources to launch a consulting practice.
The Model FA IP acquisition brings together Dan Allison, a referral expert whose Feedback Marketing framework helps advisory firms turn existing client relationships into a steady stream of referrals, and David DeCelle, Model FA's CEO and WealthReach co-founder. DeCelle has guided more than 250 RIAs in building and scaling organic growth strategies.
The financial terms were not disclosed.
