Deals Of The Day: The Latest In Wealth Management, IQ-EQ

IQ-EQ continues quest to grow its global footprint, with property M&A activity in the US market.

IQ-EQ subsidiary First National Trustee Company has acquired Florida-based Vacation Ownership Title Agency in a move to extend the parent company's presence in the US property services space.

Serge Krancenblum, leading merger and acquisition strategy for IQ-EQ, said the deal will provide FNTC clients with a tailored approach to escrow, title and foreclosure services in the US market, and is a “key milestone” for the investor services group that recently rebranded (formerly known as SGG Group).

“VOTA is a well-established provider in the vacation ownership space and their expertise in escrow and title services in the US market perfectly complements our existing services in Europe, Asia and the Americas," Krancenblum said. “I look forward to seeing what new opportunities this partnership will open up.”

The Luxembourg-based services group operated as SGG Group until March when it renamed itself as IQ-EQ to unite a raft of business interests under one name, although the decision was made to keep FNTC as a standalone brand.

The subsidiary has around £2.5 billion in property assets under management and provides business and legal solutions to develop international resorts, including the infrastructure for fractional or shared ownership resorts.
