Cross Ocean Appoints Partner, Head Of Hard Asset Investment Strategies

This publication carries the latest news of hires and appointments in the US wealth management industry.
Cross Ocean Partners, a credit-focused asset management platform, has appointed Brandt Wilson as a partner and head of hard asset investment strategies.
Prior to joining the firm, Wilson was a senior managing director at Castlelake, a private investment firm, where he was co-head of global aviation investment efforts. Between 2000 and 2009, he worked with Cross Ocean Partners' senior management team at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he oversaw hard asset investment activities, with an emphasis on aviation opportunities.
Most recently, he acted as a managing director and co-head of BoAML's North American illiquid credit trading group. He has 23 years' experience in the financial services industry.
In his new role, he will be based in Greenwich, Connecticut and will focus on global aviation opportunities.
“The team and I have a long-standing relationship with Brandt and believe that he will be a key contributor to Cross Ocean going forward,” said Graham Goldsmith, chief executive of the group, adding: “Furthermore, there is a clear market opportunity in the aviation sector focusing on mid-life and older aircraft and engine leasing, and we believe that his long-standing relationships and deep expertise within the aviation industry will allow Cross Ocean to differentiate itself from other market participants.”
This publication is awaiting confirmation as to whether Wilson is taking on a newly-created role or replaces someone else and will update accordingly.
