Cresset Welcomes Former $1.8 Billion Goldman Sachs Team

The US wealth management firm has been in expansion mode, as witnessed by a number of developments in recent months.
The latter stages of 2025 are turning out to be busy for Cresset.
Yesterday, the US wealth manager said it had welcomed an advisory team that has been looking after more than $1.8 billion in assets. The team – led by Jamie Gilbert, Jean Wright, and Max Ripans – used to work with Goldman Sachs.
The team has joined Cresset’s Atlanta office and established Cresset’s presence in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Cresset said the team has experience advising ultra-high net worth families, entrepreneurs, and C-suite executives, with a specific focus on tax and estate planning.
Earlier this week, Cresset said it had appointed Albert Leshinsky as managing director, head of corporate development.
Cresset managed more than $78 billion in client money as of November 1. This news service interviewed Eric Becker, co-founder, about his vision for the firm and his approach to business. In August, FWR's US correspondent examined the business's merger with Denver-based investment consultant Monticello Associates.
