Credit Suisse hires another former UBS executive

Stewart Brenner joins his old chief Anthony de Chellis at CS
private bank. Credit Suisse has hired former UBS executive
Stewart Brenner to help develop its private-banking business in
the western hemisphere. He reports to Anthony de Chellis, who was
his boss at UBS.
"Stewart is a highly-talented banking executive and we are
delighted to have him join Credit Suisse," says de Chellis, head
of Credit Suisse Private Banking Americas. "He will be
instrumental in helping to drive the continued growth of our
private banking franchise in the U.S. and Latin America."
Meet the new boss
De Chellis left UBS in May 2006 for Credit Suisse. Former
JPMorgan Chase executive John Straus replaced him as head of UBS
Wealth Management U.S. in October 2006.
Brenner is the former COO of that outfit. His resume also
includes stints at S&Y Asset Management, Merrill Lynch and
Goldman Sachs.
Now, as a managing director of Credit Suisse Private Banking
Americas, New York-based Brenner will work with members of the
private bank's regional management committee to develop market
expansion strategies and recruitment initiatives with particular
emphasis on growth in the U.S.
In the U.S., Credit Suisse Private Banking Americas operates out
of 13 offices and works with wealthy individuals and families.
