Credit Suisse has appointed Dale Westhoff as global head of structured products research, to be based in New York.

Westhoff was latterly head of consumer modeling teams at JP Morgan. Prior to this role he was a senior managing director and head of quantitative research at Bear Stearns before its merger with JP Morgan. Before he began his banking career Westhoff was an aerospace engineer.

In his new role Westhoff will continue efforts to develop the bank’s suite of structured product analytics, with a particular emphasis on Credit Suisse’s mortgage-backed security prepayment models which are used internally and by clients.
