Credit Suisse Launches "China Content Hub"

The Swiss bank is flexing its thought leadership muscles in China, announcing a new venture to coincide with an online conference.
Credit Suisse has launched a “content hub” about China which provides commentaries and information for users about the Asian giant with input from the Zurich-listed bank and other experts.
The China Content Hub combines the knowledge of Credit Suisse’s research analysts, investment strategists, China Quantitative Insight and other teams.
The bank rolled out the hub to coincide with the launch of its Credit Suisse 7th China A-Shares Conference, running from 11-13 May. The bank said that more than 60 A-share firms are taking part in the online conference. The conference includes a series of China Expert Perspective webinars, which will offer insights into the trends, economic landscape and growth prospects in China amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are committed to staying connected with our clients, despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, and continue to create opportunities to exchange ideas and present high quality content to navigate the changing market conditions,” Neil Hosie, head of equities for Asia-Pacific at Credit Suisse, said.
The bank noted that even during the COVID-19 pandemic, China continued to be a launch-pad for newly listed firms. The Shanghai and Shenzhen Exchanges have raised more than $11 billion in the first quarter of this year.
Recent weeks have been important for Credit Suisse in China. In April, the bank won approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission to become a majority shareholder in its securities joint venture, Credit Suisse Founder Securities Limited. The move enables the bank to boost its position in onshore China and expand in the wider region, it said.
