Coutts, the flagship wealth brand of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, has appointed Robin Wright to the newly-created role of director, wealth management, based in its Leeds office.

Wright, who reports to Mark Yellops - executive director and head of Coutts in Yorkshire - is responsible for the firm’s Yorkshire business, with a focus on its high and ultra high net worth clients.

Wright was latterly at HSBC Private Bank, where he was an associate director, and head of Yorkshire and the northeast. Prior to this, he was an advisor at Chase De Vere.

In other recent developments, at the start of this month Coutts launched a line of multi-asset funds, comprising seven UK and global RDR-compliant UCITS vehicles.
