Coutts Boosts Private Office With Hire from UBS

Coutts has appointed Ed Goodchild as a senior private banker in its ultra high net worth client business Coutts Private Office.

UK-based private bank Coutts has appointed Ed Goodchild as a senior private banker in its ultra high net worth client business Coutts Private Office.

Mr Goodchild joins from UBS Wealth Management and will be based at the bank's Strand office in London, reporting to Duncan MacIntyre, head of Coutts Private Office.

Speaking to WealthBriefing, Mr MacIntyre said: “This hire is part of our strategy of doubling the size of the private office. We started the year with four bankers and we now have eight. The private office was started from scratch in September 2005 and now has £2.5 billion ($5.1 billion) in assets under management.”

Clients qualify for private office services if they have over £10 million in investable assets with Coutts.
