Corient Acquires Seven Bridges Advisors, Adding $4.9 Billion AuM

The Miami-headquartered wealth manager continues its run of acquisitions in the US and overseas.
Corient has acquired yet another firm, Seven Bridges Advisors, a New York-based registered investment advisor with $4.9 billion in assets under management.
Seven Bridges principals will become Corient partners once the deal completes, Corient said in a statement yesterday.
Founded by Larry Cohen, Seven Bridges is an MFO serving entrepreneurs and founders, financial services executives and ultra-high net worth families. It has capabilities in private markets investing.
Houlihan Lokey acted as exclusive financial advisor to Seven Bridges, with Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg serving as legal advisor.
Corient, established in 2020, describes itself as the largest multi-family office and non-bank wealth manager serving UHNW and HNW clients. It counts more than 300 partners and over 2,700 employees, managing about $535 billion globally.
Run of deals
The deal extends a lengthy run of acquisitions. In April, Corient
bought Europe's Bedrock Group, which managed SFr8.4
billion ($10.4 billion) in client assets, following last year's
purchases of Stonehage Fleming and Stanhope
Capital.
In January, it acquired Palo Alto Wealth Advisors, a California-based RIA with $766.7 million in AuM, and the multi-family office business of US-based Geller. It has also bought Bristlecone Advisors, a Bellevue, Washington-based RIA with about $2 billion in AuM, and Dallas-based Messick Peacock & Associates.
Shortly after the Stanhope Capital and Stonehage Fleming deals, Corient snapped up Breed’s Hill Capital, a Boston-based MFO with about $3.5 billion in assets under management. See another deal here.
Corient was formed through CI Financial's 2023 rebrand of its US wealth arm, before CI Financial was taken private in 2024 in a deal backed by Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Capital.
