Connecticut Welcomes New Wealth Management Firm

The new firm is based in Darien, Connecticut, and was founded by the former national head of trusts and estates and trust counsel at Fiduciary Trust.

The former national head of trusts and estates and trust counsel at Fiduciary Trust Company International, Warwick Carter Jr, has founded Warwick Carter Advisors, a Darien, Connecticut based firm.

Carter’s new firm will offer advice on trusts and estates matters to investment advisors, family offices, banks and professionals.

He has spent the past 17 years in the financial sector working with high net worth families and foundations at private banks and trust companies in New York and Washington, D.C. This includes a spell at JP Morgan Private Bank, where he was senior trust officer.

“After a lot of drilling down over the past year into the needs of wealth managers of all sizes, I found that, outside of the larger banks, many independent firms working with high net worth families don't have someone on staff with my background and experience to advise them on fiduciary matters,” said Carter. “I saw a need and realized that I can help these advisors, especially in the fiduciary space.”
