The Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong has greenlighted Victory Securities to undertake trading and advisory activities related to virtual assets.

Victory Securities, rooted in Hong Kong’s financial industry for more than 50 years, is licensed by the SFC to carry out Type 1 (dealing in securities), Type 2 (dealing in futures contracts), Type 4 (advising on securities), and Type 9 (asset management) regulated activities in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's Financial Secretary, Paul Chan, recently published an article stating that Hong Kong is determined to compete with Singapore, London, New York, and other cities for the position of the global crypto financial centre and virtual asset centre.
